Residents Happy in Basingstoke

A survey conducted by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council found that 90 per cent of residents are happy living in Basingstoke.

The survey, which was conducted at the end of last year, showed that 59 per cent of those asked, were ‘very satisfied’ living in Basingstoke, a 30 per cent improvement from the last survey in 2008.

There was an 18 per cent increase of people stating they were ‘very satisfied’ with how Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council operates, up to 26 per cent. More than half of those interviewed gave the council a ‘fairly satisfied’ rating, which was just 1 per cent up compared to five years ago when 50 per cent said they were ‘fairly satisfied’.

This new data is fed into the borough’s Council Plan which outlines the council’s top priorities in the next four years.
