Computer 2000 expands to Chineham Park as part of growth plan

Computer 2000, one of Basingstoke’s largest companies, has moved over 530 staff into their new offices at Chineham Park earlier this month. The global distributor of technology products is using Redwood 2, a 48,000 sq ft high quality office, to support their goal of sustainable growth.

Andy Dow, marketing director at Computer 2000 said "As a successful and expanding company the move to Redwood allows us to create the right culture and workplace to attract and retain the high quality staff that we need. We wanted to give our employees the best possible office environment to ensure that they enjoy their work and are successful in delivering in our growth. Chineham Park provides us with both the great offices and also an excellent suite of onsite amenities for the benefit of our existing and future staff."

With Computer 2000 committing to a ten year lease, Chineham Park has ensured that these 530 jobs stay within Basingstoke and reaffirms Chineham Park’s appeal to local, national and international companies.

Rupert Batho, managing director of Chineham Park, adds: "Attracting a global IT distributor to Chineham Park shows that our position as a leading technology hub within Hampshire and the South East is recognised around the world. Basingstoke offers many advantages as a place to work and with organisations such as Computer 2000 choosing to remain in the town, Chineham Park will also continue to be seen as a highly desirable working environment for employees."

The UK's fastest growing IT distributor grows again at Chineham Park

Micro-P Ltd, one of the oldest and largest distributors of IT and technology products in the UK market, has expanded again at MEPC Chineham Park, Basingstoke’s leading business location by taking an extra 6,000 sq ft. This new acquisition follows on from Micro-P's move last year to larger office premises to accommodate their 31% increase in staff.

Paul Bryan, Micro-P's Marketing Director explains, "Our successful growth strategy has accelerated the development of the company and we needed extra space to house our expanded Mobile and Telco Division. Chineham Park has been our home since 1991 and we knew that we could work with MEPC to stay on the Park. The obvious communication benefits which make this location perfect for our business are enhanced by the additional amenities for our staff on site."

Micro-P is one of the national leaders in a highly competitive industry which is constantly developing to improve the customer experience. The increased sq ft will host a mobility showroom demonstrating leading mobile & accessories manufacturer products such as Nokia, Samsung, Blackberry and Tech21.
Chineham Park Managing Director Rupert Batho adds: "Micro-P is one of the longest established businesses here at Chineham Park and in the past two years we have seen this customer expand by 31% and then again with this new building by a further 35%. This exceptional growth shows how we, at MEPC, can help our customers accommodate their success.”

Micro-P's growth also highlights that Basingstoke and, Chineham Park specifically, offer an excellent environment for businesses to develop."
