Computer 2000, one of Basingstoke’s largest
companies, has moved over 530 staff into their new offices at Chineham
Park earlier this month. The global distributor of technology products
is using Redwood 2, a 48,000 sq ft high quality office, to support their
goal of sustainable growth.
Andy Dow, marketing director at Computer 2000 said "As a successful and expanding company the move to Redwood allows us to create the right culture and workplace to attract and retain the high quality staff that we need. We wanted to give our employees the best possible office environment to ensure that they enjoy their work and are successful in delivering in our growth. Chineham Park provides us with both the great offices and also an excellent suite of onsite amenities for the benefit of our existing and future staff."
With Computer 2000 committing to a ten year lease, Chineham Park has ensured that these 530 jobs stay within Basingstoke and reaffirms Chineham Park’s appeal to local, national and international companies.
Rupert Batho, managing director of Chineham Park, adds: "Attracting a global IT distributor to Chineham Park shows that our position as a leading technology hub within Hampshire and the South East is recognised around the world. Basingstoke offers many advantages as a place to work and with organisations such as Computer 2000 choosing to remain in the town, Chineham Park will also continue to be seen as a highly desirable working environment for employees."
